To serve our residents and their families by helping them achieve the highest level of physical and mental well-being.
Life at Cross Creek is built on the five pillars of brain health designed to encourage residents to move, discover, relax, nourish and connect.
Cross Creek will offer individualized resources to assist residents and their families as they navigate the challenges of transitioning to life in their new home. We seek to enrich their lives while creating independence so that residents can continue doing the things they love.
allows residents to continue living their story by doing what they love most
We seek to engage and encourage the whole person by getting to know each person’s life story. Cross Creek residents and staff will face life together with patience and understanding.
Cross Creek will provide structured schedules for each individual resident to promote familiarity and consistency throughout each day. We seek to enrich the life of each resident while creating independence.
Cross Creek offers studio, one bedroom and two bedroom suites in two distinct neighborhoods, each designated with a specific color scheme. The intentional design gives residents the freedom to move throughout the community.
Based on an established approach to today’s seniors with memory impairment, digital memory boxes will be located outside each resident’s suite and interactive Life Skill Stations will be found throughout the community.
Built-in Safety and Support
Through passive monitoring, residents at Cross Creek enjoy a homelike atmosphere allowing them to live freely while still remaining safe and supported each day. Exterior security cameras, controlled and monitored access, audible alarms and community space sensors will serve to alert staff if any resident is in a situation where they may need assistance. Furthermore, 24-hour licensed nurses are on site at all times to provide support when needed.
A Community of Caring
Connecting with others who travel this road is the best thing you can do. We work to create a safe assisted living environment that extends beyond physical support and stimulates the mind, energizes the body, feeds the soul and touches the hearts of all who walk through our doors.
Volunteers play an important role at Cross Creek at Lee’s Summit. We offer training for many of our volunteer roles and host events to help volunteers get to know life at our community while reaping the most reward out of their experience.
Our life-enriching programs and activities, coupled with our high standard of senior care, allow residents to continue to engage in the activities they enjoy in a safe environment.
A Recreational Therapist will be on staff to create individualized, structured schedules for each resident to promote familiarity, consistency and discovery throughout each day. Music, art, scheduled social activities, exercise and story sharing are just a few of the ways the Recreational Therapist will promote healthy, vibrant living.
The memory care community will offer a fitness center with a spa and whirlpool tub for hydrotherapy and relaxation, a barber and beauty salon and chef-prepared meals served in well-appointed dining rooms located in each neighborhood.
Interact… At Your Own Pace
Residents will have the freedom to move throughout the interior of the building visiting neighbors and common areas, or exploring the interactive artwork or Life Skill Stations. Monitored outdoor courtyards and walking paths will allow residents to remain active and connect with nature.
The community will also feature the Cross Creek Café and Bistro, an open-design, gathering place where individuals can socialize with friends and family in a safe, supportive and engaging environment. Neighborhoods are also equipped with community kitchens where snacks and beverages are provided at any time.
Keystone Care is an innovative new healthcare technology developed by The University of Missouri and Keystone Technologies, a company whose vision is to help revolutionize senior living through technology and community design. Through passive monitoring in resident rooms and common spaces, alerts will be sent to staff members warning of any safety issues which can assist in early intervention. Additionally, Keystone Care has artificial intelligence software designed to manage risk associated with individual health issues and may be installed in any resident’s suite as an optional upgrade to their monthly care plan.
Taking care to preserve the dignity of each resident, our team of licensed care providers will be ready and able to provide the level of support needed in our assisted living | memory care community. Team members undergo training provided by the state of Missouri, followed by courses we provide through the Dementia Live and Compassionate Touch programs.
